I was thrilled to run into TV Host Greta Culliford in the Host Office yesterday. Although we had stayed in touch by email, it was so nice to see her in person after her 4-month leave from The Shopping Channel.

Many of you stayed in touch with her as well, via comments posted on this blog. So I thought I’d grab my camcorder and shoot a quick video of Greta - she was eager to let you all know how she is doing. She also gives you the inside scoop on when she’ll be back on air.

As part of The Shopping Channel’s Spring Home Week event, TV Hosts Greta Culliford and Renee Torrington give us a tour of the very favourite rooms in their own homes. Many of you have been staying in touch with Greta here in our Blog, so I’m sure you’ll all be very happy to see how well she is doing!

Celebrating The Shopping Channel’s Birthday is very important because not only is it a recognition of the leaps & bounds we made over the past 22 years, but it celebrates our loyal viewers and customers who have grown with us over time. Each year allows us to continue to create a sense of family for many of them.

In speaking to people throughout my time with The Shopping Channel, I’ve heard how the sound of our voices have eased lonliness, grief or has filled a room with laughter because of different shows and the humaness we emanate.

I have many memories and experiences with guests that had me laughing uncontrollably and some that have brought me to tears due to the nature of the show. To be able to work with a group of colleagues and know that you love them all is a blessing!!!

This I know … we would not be celebrating without the loyalty of our viewers. So “Happy Birthday” to all of you and a big “Happy Birthday to The Shopping Channel”

Hi everyone,

I’ve heard that a few of you have been wondering about where I’ve gone! First of all, I thank you for your concern. I had surgery on both my feet back on January 6th with an expected recovery of 8 weeks or so.

Everything went well and I’m in little to no pain, but my feet will be bandaged for some time. I miss not being there and talking to you so I’ll be sure to keep in touch in the Blog.
