Hello Shopping Channel friends,

As a co-founder of Children’s Miracle Network, I’ve loved traveling to Canada many times in the past 25 years to help raise funds for the 14 Children’s Miracle Network hospitals in your country. I’ve served up Blizzards in the Dairy Queens and even kissed bald heads in the Walmart stores there! (Hey, if it raises a dollar for sick kids, I’ll leave some lipstick on your noggin! ; -) On my last trip I brought my three youngest sons who still beg me to take them back for another Mom-Son vacation in Canada. Can I just tell you that I ruined a perfectly lovely suede coat under the Horseshoe Falls!!!!! (Word of advice: Bring a rain poncho!)

I think being a child advocate and loving children as much as I do was one of the many reasons I wanted to create my own doll line. I love the innocence, joy and beauty that can be captured in the design of a doll. Doll collecting is cross-generational. My mom started me collecting dolls when I was still in a bassinet. (I’ve got the photos to prove it!) I’ve loved working with the best sculptors available and learning to sculpt over the years. I sculpted the Baby Abby doll, after my youngest child, which I’ll be showing on The Shopping Channel, as well as my trademark sculpt, Adorabelle.

I’m really looking forward to my visit at The Shopping Channel on this coming Monday. (Mondays are my “day off” from doing the “Donny & Marie” show at the Flamingo in Las Vegas….come see us! We have a blast every night.)

I’m also bringing with me two dolls that I’m only showing in Canada. They are true classics in the spectrum of doll collecting so be sure to watch.

And…other surprises, too. You can’t twist my arm, I’ll never tell. Just like my dolls, I don’t break!

Until Monday!

Marie Osmond
