The last time Dr. Rey was at The Shopping Channel - in September 2009 - he did more than showcase his best-selling shapewear. Along with The Shopping Channel, he gave away a trip for 2 to his sunny home-town of Los Angeles to one lucky customer.

W. McLennan, from Edmonton, and her friend flew out to LA LA Land to lunch with Dr. Rey and designer Bruno Schiavi, take in some well-deserved pampering & a little star gazing.

The Shopping Channel was honoured to host the book launch of Elizabeth Grant - My Life, My Story at an intimate gathering with close friends, this past Tuesday.

During the event, Elizabeth spoke about her life and shared insights on her personal & business successes. Joining Elizabeth were the authors of the book - Marion Suzenne Witz (who many of you know by her TV name of Suzenne Best) and Carol Krenz. The Shopping Channel’s VP of Marketing, Michael LeBlanc, hosted the event & interviewed all three ladies on their experience putting the book together.

It is a holiday tradition for the girls and I to go on our annual perfect tree hunt. We have several trees that go up. Most ones I bought here at The Shopping Channel, but we also have to find and cut the perfect tree that becomes the kids tree.

My beautiful artifical ones went up in early Novemember. They have my colour-matching decorations on them and one even spins in the window. In mid-December  I borrow a truck and we bundle up and go north to a tree farm. There we jump on the hay wagon that treks us out to the bush. We spend about an hour roaming and searching the rows of trees and usually end up way at the far corners of the farm to find our perfect tree. I saw it down and we load it onto the tobbagan to pull it back to the pick up spot. Then we go for tobbagan rides, hot chocolate and sit by the fire. It gets put up with all the decorations they make and have collected over the years.

We will also bake cookies and Im looking forward to a new tradition we are starting this year with the “Elf On The Shelf” . I cant wait to see where that little elf will turn up each day!
