Our "girl with the giggles", Denise, joined The Shopping Channel in 2005 after an exciting career as a singer, model and actress that took her from Moose Jaw , Saskatchewan all the way to Kabul , Afghanistan and many places in between.

Music was always a very big part of Denise's life as she grew up in Toronto surrounded by a large, extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins. "My family always seemed to be getting together to celebrate something," Denise fondly recalls, "and whenever we'd get together there would always be lots of singing and everyone would have a great time."

After finishing high school, Denise initially wanted to go into broadcasting but instead opened up a successful Music School where she could share her love of singing and playing the piano with her many students. Although shy by nature, her love of the spotlight and performing were always with Denise as she moved to Moose Jaw and began to show off her talents at nightclubs, fairs, festivals and corporate events.

Back in Toronto and looking for new challenges, Denise joined a touring singing group called The Cover Girls. "It was great fun," says Denise. "We got to sing all the oldies for audiences all over the state of Florida ." The group was managed by soon-to-be husband Thomas, and although Denise just loved performing all of the classic hits by such famous groups as The Andrew Sisters and The Supremes, when her agent told her about an opportunity at The Shopping Channel she just couldn't resist auditioning. "After I auditioned I left for Afghanistan to perform for the troops, so I was quite surprised when the position was still open after I got back." We're glad it was!

When Denise isn't working at The Shopping Channel she's a bit of a homebody. "Really," Denise insists, "after work I just go home and relax with Thomas and our beautiful cocker spaniel, Cooper. Thomas and I love to watch movies and old, classic TV shows. We tend to entertain at home and not go out that much except when we have Thomas' son, Faron, with us then it's off to the beach or the park or somewhere fun and exciting."
