Dayna Devon
Biography
Dayna Devon is an award-winning American journalist who has co-hosted the entertainment television show Extra for more than 9 years. Devon has earned the reputation as one of Hollywood's leading journalists and has gone one-on-one with many of entertainment's most prominent personalities.
Devon spent more than 10 years in television news before joining Extra. She began her broadcast journalism career as a traffic reporter for KTSA in San Antonio, Texas. She then moved to KLST-TV (CBS) in San Angelo, Texas, and KMID-TV (ABC) in Midland, Texas, where she served as main anchor. In 1997, Devon joined ABC’s Memphis, Tenn., affiliate WPTY-TV as a reporter. Within one year, she was promoted to anchor of all three of the station’s newscasts. In 1998, Devon and her news team were awarded a "Best Live Broadcast" Emmy Award.
Devon has served as guest host on The View and is a regular entertainment commentator for CNN, Fox News Channel and MSNBC. In both 2005 and 2006, Devon hosted Ladies Home Journal "Funny Ladies We Love" event, and in 2004 co-hosted More magazine's "Alpha Woman Award," honoring Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton.
A native of Texas, Devon graduated from of the University of Texas at San Antonio. She currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband, Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Brent Moelleken, daughter Emmi and son Cole.
Devon learned about Dr. Alan Hirsch when she was working on a story for Extra about a new weight-loss system called Sensa that was based on his research and patent-pending Tastants. After learning about the science behind the system, she became determined to see how it worked. After losing 7 pounds the first month, Devon became a true believer and proponent and realized that Dr. Hirsch’s research represented a revolutionary approach to weight loss that could help address the obesity problem in the U.S. Since then, it has become Devon’s mission to educate people about the benefits of Sensa in gaining control back over their weight in order to lead happier, healthier lives.
