My “I’m worth it!” promise - update #1
Let me start off by saying a HUGE thank you for all the positive and supportive comments I have been receiving. It is motivating and really helps when I’m tired and feel like just collapsing onto the couch. I am in Week One of my commitment to better health and feeling good. I thought I would update you on the changes I have made so far.
One of the things I needed to get under control was my hormone levels. As a woman in my 40s things start to change and lack of sleep and exercise contributed to throwing my system out of control. I started taking our Vita Tree VitaWomen’s Formula to help balance things, along with our VitaTree VitaDetox. Even after one week I feel more energy.
I have been getting in my AeroPilates daily, alternating between cardio and the Level 1 workout. It is actually very relaxing to do. I did feel some stiff muscles my first few days and that encouraged me (knowing that it was working.)
This week I plan to tackle my diet. I eat fairly healthy, but I often skip meals. To get my metabolism working properly I have to eat small meals frequently. I am going to try to do between 1400 and 1800 calories each day. I have never counted calories or paid attention to them so it should be eye opening.
Please keep commenting with your own stories so we can cheer each other on. There is power in numbers and this week Tara W you motivated me too!

Hi again, I must get going on this. I set up the Pilates machine in my rrom where it will be in sight. I’m going to concentrate on that and drinking more water - and less wine! for now. Those supplements are a little pricey for me, but maybe I’ll try them down the road. I am post menopausal (just) and I have fibromyalgia so a healthier lifestyle is a must, especially now. I’ve gained 30 lbs in the last 2 years and I feel gross, sometimes I just want to eat and drink and say the hell with it, and other times I think what am I doing? xxoo
Ok, here goes, thighs 23″, hips 42″, waist 33″, bust 41″, 5′7″ and 176 lbs, geez, I actually wrote it down…well you gotta start somewhere. I’m putting it on my calendar and will measure again in exactly 10 days.
How is it going with you, Renee?
You go Sue. My machine is pulled out on my bedroom floor so I have to see it everyday. I started workouts last week but only changed the diet this week. I am going to give myself until next Monday to measure and weigh in. Water is something I really need to make sure I get in. I drink lots of tea but need to switch to water. I’m going to keep on you to make sure you are using that machine. Tara how are you doing?
Thanks, Renee, it’s soooo hard. But once I get on the machine I find it so relaxing. I have been eating healthier, too. I also have a bad habit of not really eating regularily. I might try the full bars, though. xo
I know you can do it, Renee–just focus on YOU and don’t let other people get you down!! Only You can make yourself feel better!! Take care and THANK YOU for motivating me too!!!
