No my dear I’m not gone!!!!!! I’ll be back as soon as possible. From my last appointment on February 5, my surgeon was very pleased with the healing but my feet will be wrapped for another four weeks. We’ll see what happens after that appointment.

Thank you so much for the wonderful note! I’m doing very well with my healing. Using lots of Vitamin E. on the scars so they’ll be barely visible come summer. My doctor is truly shocked at how quickly the healing is progressing but has warned me not to get too, too anxious as I could do more harm than good if I decide to do a little break dancing or something right away (not). I miss you all and believe I’m so looking forward to getting back to work I’ll probably ’smile and giggle’ for a week or so.

Love the shopping channel. JUst have a concern with aproduct I purchased in Nov.08.Perfect Formula Home and Go Kit #397580, Ordered two, But the hardner in my opinion is old. It will not dry on nails even after extented time given. Rubs and peels off within the day. I expected it to be a better product than what I could buy in the Drug store for that price. Thank-you for your time. Gail

Who is is Gail Holiday? (Just wondered because this person said you’ll be seeing me again).

Perfect Formula is not supposed to harden on the nails. Its a jobaba oil moisturizer and therefore does not dry. You do not put polish over the moisturizer either. Please re-read the instructions.
Its a great product you have to use it correctly.

Yes, I will get back to work as soon as I get a green light from my doctor. It’s been wonderful having some of my fellow hosts/guests drop in for a visit. In fact Rosalie Brown just left a few minutes ago and she is so special as you all know. Richard, came to visit me a couple of weeks ago and had me in stitches (no pun intended), Lesley Young was my first visitor to the house and of course my very good friend Tania Kolar who does may of our Home Decor Shows and many more. It feels like I’ve never left!

I hope the website upgrade this weekend will solve the online ordering problems. I have always ordered online, but starting about 6 months ago, my orders didn’t get processed when submitted. They wound up in some never land and were later entered as though they had been a phone order. This resulted in my missing out on a showstopper I had ordered and another time getting wait-listed unknowingly. It has been very frustrating and my current solution has been to shop less often. Hoping to get back to the good online experience I used to have.

At last I discovered this blog, I missed you so much, I thought maybe you quit, I inquired, but customer service was too vague, and in my opinion ‘rude’, I also wondered if you had a serious illness, and was forced to quit. I love and miss you sooo much, I find when you are on, you are truly an inspiration, and I am always tempted to purchase when you are on, as you are so genuine, and encouraging, you could really sell the products, some others are too dramatic, you are truly a professional at what you do, I know everyone want their products sold, but it is up to us to try, and decide, what is good. My daughter is Wendy, and you were her agent when you were at the agency, and she enjoyed working with you, she mentioned this a couple of years ago, and I always told her I like when you are on, I remember when you did the night shift, I will always stay up until your shift was finish for the night.
Wendy now works for a magazine in Toronto, as The Stylist, and ‘Assistant Editor’ She loves challenges, and enjoy what she does, and freelance as well. Take care, and our very best wishes. Get well real soon.

Hi, Greta, So glad to read that you are doing so well. These surgeries sure do put a crimp in one’s style, don’t they. I took a bad fall last May and after x-rays and 6 weeks we discovered I had broken the ball off in my hip so had to have a partial replacement. Meant missing out on everything all summer. Too bad it couldn’t have been this time of year but I am back on my feet without a cane and wearing my 3″ heels again a lot of the time and know you will be tripping the light fantastic very soon also because you have such an upbeat attitude. Well you know what they (who are THEY anyway)say?
You can take the heels away from the girl…..for a while anyway…but you can’t take the girl away from the heels. Good healing but it took so long to discover the problem it seems. You must have been in such pain the whole time before the discovery. Happy to hear all is good for you now.

Well, I’m doing super and can’t wait to get into any kind of shoes other than the very unfashionable contraptions I must wear for now.

Hello Ladies,

I was browsing the blog and saw what wonderful comments you were making for Greta and I thought how sweet it was to read them. As a matter of fact, I also noticed some lovely comments about little ol’ me too, thank-you! I miss all of you very much, and do plan on someday coming back as a guest, hopefully next year, after my BABY BOY is born! We
are excited to announce he will be born in July and his name shall be Gabriel.

Life will be different with 4 kids to look after, but I can hardly wait! Everything is going well and although it was a very rough start, things are now feeling great.

I am going to visit Greta this upcoming Monday afternoon, it should be fun to get together and compare notes on her feet and my growing belly!

As we are both avid painters, I do plan on picking her brain to find out how on earth she makes her own canvases! Carol should also be joining us, so perhaps a picture might be in order?

Hi Greta no I took my silversmithing class in Edm AB at the Rock and Gem Shop which was an awesome 12 week course with an amazing instructor I actually took the course twice and still go and hang out every now and then not so much anymore. Our log home is near Edson Alberta which is about 2 hours east of Jasper AB its a beautiful home its our dream and we are at the 70% complete stage but are living in the basement as we finish upstairs. It has 27 foot tall cathedral ceilings in the entire house and a loft looking down. I love it and will send you some pictures. I have to shop online for my gems as in Alberta there are very few places to shop and they are costly so I have developed relationships with gem dealers from Thailand etc. completely through the internet. I am so grateful to have he world as my shopping center. I did email you some pictures please let me know if you got them.

Just a follow-up, as you said you couldn’t place Wendy’s face, well I can quite understand that, because you meet, and have met many persons during your job etc. This is going back about over 15 years ago, she had to do an audition for you, to get accepted into the agency, and she did a monologue, and did get into the Agency. She enjoys Fashion very much, and has worked with some top designers, she has even met some of your models at TSC, and as previously mentioned I said what she was currently doing, so by seeing you on the set she mentioned to me, and I told her how much I liked when you were on, but on the blog, I wouldn’t mention too much details about her. Now you are on the day shift, she has not seen you in ages, but I told her after I heard about your feet, hence the conversation, coming up again. I was shopping on the web and filling my cart with some of my favs, Ojon, Smashbox, elizabeth Grant, to just name a few. However, when I went to purchase thier strengthener, the whole product line was missing. Will the product line be restocked? I certainly hope so. Excellent quality and results. Happy Spring to you, and you finally gave us hint as to your return to TSC, which we are really looking forward to. I agree, no more fooling around, I was beginning to think that you are having so much fun in those ‘hospital shoes’ and forgot that you have to return to work, with a whole bunch of us, waiting for your ‘grand appearance’. I know you still have to take it easy, we will understand, so continue to take care of yourself.

Spring, I agree is such a beautiful season, with every thing coming back to life, as it were, we are beginning to feel alive again especially after a winter like we had, but we are still fortunate to have 4 seasons. We will request shorter winters.

I’m glad to hear that you are feeling better and will be back on The Shopping Channel soon. I too had both feet operated on about 15 years ago (hammer toes). It was the best thing I ever did, but it did take ages for me to be able to wear proper shoes again — and never since then have I been able to wear very high heels. But I’m sure your feet will feel fabulous!!

It is probably a good thing that you did the operation during the worst, coldest months of the year and will be able to enjoy the nicer weather.

Thanks for the recent notes. Spring has sprung and I’m so looking forward to ‘tip toeing through the tulips’ (but not on them) with you very soon.

All of the little critters are scurrying around looking for material for their nests. We have ducks in our pond and the male is very protective about his lady while she enjoys as much food as she is able to get into that tummy of hers. Oh, and the pond is looking pretty clear after their feasts so it won’t take much to gather the rest of the debris that has settled over the winter months. The tiny, red squirrels have found a way of squeezing their bodies into the caged bird feeder just outside the sunroom and the black and grey squirrels are not impressed about this accomplishment because of their own size. Amusing to watch them try. The cardinals are trying to chase the morning doves away from the feeder outside the kitchen window but to no avail.

Nature is beautiful!

So glad your coming back soon Greta you have been missed but it sounds like to me that you have been relaxing and watching your local wildlife I have to tell you I am doing the same yesterday my Husband and I saw a herd of elk walk right in front of our home then jumped the fence to cross the road it was an amazing site one I will remember always. There is also an owl hanging about and lots and lots of birds getting ready for babies. I also saw some Canadain Geese so they are returning for the summer I have to say Spring is the most exciting time of year everything is so fresh and crisp love it and will be happier when I see you have returned to work which means your healed cant wait. Well, elk I haven’t seen this spring but a sweet little red fox who likes to sunbathe in a certain spot on the tree lined driveway across the road sure is a pleasant site. Yes, the wildlife are coming out in full force now that the sunny days are upon us and those ‘wabbits’ well, they’ve already lopped off the tops of some of the flowers that were getting ready to make their debut or was it the raccoon I just saw washing his little paws in the pond? Yes, spring has certainly sprung and it won’t be long before we see the first colors of nature appear.

Love your log house Terry. It is magical and magnificent.

Looking forward to speaking to you live on air once I get back to work and it won’t be long now.
