    Hey Janet!

Sounds like you have a great workout routine but your weekend cravings could sabotage all your hard work!

We all get cravings, so first of all clear your home of all chocolate and chips! It’s too tempting! Try making a better cheat choice. You can always make a better choice - it may not be the best - but at least it’s not the worst.

When I have chocolate cravings, I have light hot chocolate drink, or some almonds and a few chocolate chips mixed in. The almonds really fill you up and I try to find the highest quality dark chips.

For my salt cravings I have AIR popped popcorn - VERY low in calories & good fiber. Sometimes I throw in cranberries or dried cherries with my popcorn. You can also snack on sunflower seeds & pumpkin seeds, BUT you have to buy them in the shell! Opening up each seed will stop you from over eating.

And lastly, if you do cheat - just make sure you workout as soon as you can to get rid of those extra calories!

    Keep well!

Hi Janet - two more things:

Eating a high fiber cereal that contains psyllium such as All Bran Buds by Kellogg’s, will also help you with your cravings. This type of cereal will expand in your stomach and make you full, plus its a great way to keep you regular. I make sure I have a bowl everyday.

I also have a huge selection of herbal teas - when I get cravings (usually at night) I make a BIG mug of tea. My favorite right now is ginger-peach tea and I add real slices of ginger to it to spice it up.

    Hope these tips help!
