The Shopping Channel Host Holiday Cookoff

One kitchen. Two hosts. Two recipes. One winner. Tune in to The Shopping Channel on Saturday November 15 for our Host Holiday Cookoff. Who will take home the trophy and the bragging rights? Tune in and find out.


Tune in to The Shopping Channel bright & early at 7am (EST) to watch Betty Jean whip up her killer Banana Muffins.
Carol will then step behind the counter at 10am (EST) to bake off her coveted Chocolate Chip Muffins.
Which muffin will prevail? Judges Tony Little, Model Kelly and TV Guest Cassie Savage will take their bites and announce the winner at 1PM (EST).
 

Both recipes will be made on our KitchenAid Stand Mixer Today’s Showstopper. Available for an incredbile price & in 5 fashion colours - tomorrow only!
 

 Betty-Jean

Ingredients:
2 cups all purpose flour
½ cup granulated sugar
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
1 banana, mashed
½ cup milk
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 egg

- Using the flat beater attachment, add banana into bowl and mash at speed 5
- Stop machine, add in sugar, oil, milk and egg
- Mix at speed number 7
- Stop machine, add Flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt
- Mix at speed number 5 until ingredients are combined
- Pour mix into muffin cups, bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes until golden

Culinary Carol’s Recipe: Chocolate Chip Muffins  

Ingredients:
1 ¾ cups all purpose flour
1/3 cup granulated sugar
2 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
¾ cup milk
¼ cup vegetable oil
1 egg
1 cup chocolate chips - Using flat beater attachment, combine sugar, milk, egg and vegetable oil at speed number 7
- Stop Machine, add flour, baking powder and salt, mix at speed number 5
- Stop machine, add chocolate chips, mix at speed number 5 just to combine
- Pour mix into muffin cups, bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes until golden

    Betty Jean …. your banana muffins looked so good ( & I can bet they tasted very good as well ) What kinds of fruit did you add?? I think I will be making these muffins real soon!!
