O on the Go
Outside of my work at The Shopping Channel, I freelance as a music journalist and I am very involved with a children’s charities. I always like to show off how hip and cool The Shopping Channel really is and and did so on two different occassions this month, one with the Butterfly Ball that supports Boost for Kids (prevention and intervention of child abuse). Canadian chanteuse Chantal Kreviazuk performed some of her hits at the event and my good friend Alannah Myles attended as my guest. Our photo was featured in the June 23 issue of HELLO Canada and I could not help but to wear and promote one of our Canadian designers featured at The Shopping Channel, David Dixon.
The second event was the pre-MMVA (Muchmusic Video Awards) party at Puma’s Rockstar Hotel held at The Gladstone Hotel. Rubbing shoulders with NKOTB’s Joey and Jordan made the teenage girl inside me giggle a little and catching up with bands I have interviewed in the past, like Mobile, Neverending White Lights and former Canadian Idol, Kalan Porter. Another opportunity to allow The Shopping Channel to shine, where I enchanted some of the celebs with Warm Cotton fragrance by CLEAN - which I have to say rockstars seem to really like the scent of!!
Lots of love!

Way to go girl. Keep up the great work. Love to see your other work outside of The Shopping Channel. You are a busy gal. I bet it was a lot of fun meeting all of those people.
Hi Orlena!! I work with a good friend of yours (SM)so I get lots of news about you and have seen many pics!! Its great to know someone through someone on the channel I’m somewhat “addicted” to (whatcha gonna do!!?) I bet you looked amazing in that David Dixon dress. S showed me pics from the Butterfly Ball. Staying on topic, my favourite shopping channel products are: Sterling Diamonelle, Brian Bailey, Silver by Sigal, Cydney Marr, etc. etc. etc. Anyway, nice to get to know you, in a sense, and I find your self-confidence and outgoing personality inspiring.
