Remember the old days? It used to be that you would go to a department store makeup counter, choose the sales person with the least scary looking makeup, and let her tell you what you needed, from eye cream all the way to translucent powder.

I first noticed this changing with my actresses in the makeup trailer. Before they would ask me what I was using on them.  Now they recognize each product and know all about it. Magazines like INSTYLE and Allure, stores like Sephora and, most of all, television home shopping have turned beauty consumers into beauty experts. You cherry pick the best that each brand has to offer. By “creating what is missing from you makeup bag”, my mission is to create the cherries, products that you never knew you needed but suddenly can’t live without.
